Case Study: Rankin

The education Rankin has is from both studying at Brighton Polytechnic,
and London College of Printing when he realised his interests lay elsewhere
mainly in Photography. This is also where he met Jefferson Hack.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

His location relates to his success because he was based in London, which
in my opinion and maybe many other peoples, is a great starting spot for
photography with it being the main working place for successful photographers.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rankin has won no "competitions" as to say but has enjoyed success on the film
circuit and has won the grand jury prize at the Salento International Film
Festival for his films made.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rankin's Clients vary from many people including:
Kate Moss
Britney Spears
Kylie Minogue
Bjork
Kevin Spacey
The Rolling Stones
Tony Blair
Queen Elizabeth II
and M.I.A to name just a few.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rankin has published many pieces of work starting with his first magazine
"Dazed & Confused" which was created with Jefferson Hack.
He hasalso releasedmany film productions
(which can be founf here http://rankinfilms.com/films/#/pic1) and has had quite
a few Exhibitions including his "Eyescape" (http://rankinla.com/home/ found in "RANKINLA")

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The style of his work seems to stem mainly towards Portrait Photography and
appeals to most if not all types of audience, and not at a specific kind of
audience.(e.g elderly people, children)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

From what i have through serches and by his website, Rankin's work has not changed too much,
he still does portraiture but he has also recently started work on another kind of project
mentioned before, the "Eyescape" (http://rankinla.com/home/ found in "RANKINLA")
